Ugadi/Yugadi/Samvatsarādi/Gudi Padwa, is the New Year's Day for the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra in India. It is festively observed in these regions on the first day of the Hindu calendar month of Chaitra.
